Heat season in Belgrade

In summer a MacBook overheats more often than usual: dust in the heatsink and dried-out thermal paste plus +35 °C outside push the laptop into thermal throttling while the fans run flat out. The best time to clean it is before the heat starts dragging your performance down.

Signs your MacBook needs cleaning

If you recognize even a couple of these — the cooling system is clogged.

Fans are loud even in the browser and on simple tasks

The body and the area above the keyboard get noticeably hot

Performance drops under load — video, exports, games stutter (throttling)

The MacBook suddenly shuts down or sleeps due to overheating

The fan spins almost constantly and never settles

What you get after cleaning

Up to 10–20 °C lower temperature under load

Noticeably quieter fans

Stable performance with no throttling

A clean cooling system and fresh thermal paste

Cleaning FAQ

How often should a MacBook be cleaned?

On average once every 1–2 years. If you work in a dusty space, keep the laptop on your lap or bed, or notice overheating in summer — do it more often.

Does cleaning void the Apple warranty?

If your MacBook is still under official Apple warranty, opening it may affect that warranty. We'll warn you honestly upfront in such cases. On the service itself we provide our own warranty of up to 90 days.

Do M-chip MacBooks need cleaning?

Yes. The M-chip MacBook Air has no fan, but its heatsink and thermal pads still get dirty; the MacBook Pro has active cooling for which cleaning and paste replacement matter especially.

How long does cleaning take?

Usually 2–3 hours. By arrangement you can wait on-site or pick it up later the same day.
